Manager Production and Process Development

The fast advancement of perovskite and organic photovoltaic (OPV) devices is driving demand for scalable, industrially viable material solutions. In this presentation, we will show our company’s capabilities in roll-to-roll processed functional vacuum coatings tailored for next-generation solar cell architectures.
Over the last couple of years, we developed flexible, customer-specific electrode layers on polymer substrates with high conductivity and transmittance higher than 80 %. They were designed to serve as high-performance base substrate for flexible perovskite and OPV devices. Our approach enables precise tuning of electrical, optical, and mechanical properties to meet application-specific requirements, supporting both prototyping and large-scale manufacturing.
In addition, we demonstrate recent progress in the fabrication of optically functionalized layers, including color-tunable coatings that enable aesthetic integration of photovoltaic devices without significantly compromising efficiency. Such solutions are particularly relevant for building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) and consumer-facing applications with a high angle-stable color impression.
The presentation highlights selected case studies and development projects from recent years, illustrating how our roll-to-roll vacuum coating technologies contribute to improved device performance, enhanced design flexibility, and industrial scalability.
By bridging material innovation with production-ready processes, we aim to support start-ups, research institutions and universities as well as industry in accelerating the commercialization of emerging photovoltaic technologies.
