The Graphene Flagship was first launched in 2013 as a FET Flagship in the European Commission's Horizon 2020 funding framework.
Tasked with bringing together academic and industrial researchers to take graphene from the realm of academic laboratories into European society in the space of 10 years, the Graphene Flagship successfully brought Europe to the forefront of graphene and 2D materials research and innovation in the first 10 years.
In the current version of the flagship, we bring together 118 academic and industrial partners in 13 research and innovation projects and 1 coordination and support project. We are working to advance Europe’s strategic autonomy in technologies that rely on graphene and other 2D materials.
The research and innovation projects work to integrate graphene and other 2D materials in a variety of areas including: Electronics and Photonics, Energy, Biomedical, Composites, 2D materials of tomorrow and
Safe by design.
In the end of the talk, there will be a lookout to opportunities and challenges ahead,
