We report a full-color metasurface waveguide with two inverse-designed metasurface couplers for AR displays. The metasurface waveguide enjoys compactness, dispersion correction, both color and angular uniformity to meet the high demands of AR applications. We further built a proof-of-concept AR system, showing high quality full-color AR images. This represents a significant advancement in creating visually compelling AR experiences in compact and user-friendly AR glasses.
