Justine Decaens is the Research & Development Manager at CTT Group. She holds a bachelor in textile engineering and a master in Mechanical engineering. She started her career at CTT Group as a project leader specialised in Smart textiles. She has worked on many R&D projects related to the development of heating textiles, lighting textiles and the integration of various textiles sensors such as ECG, respira:on rate for biomonitoring, pressure, temperature, humidity, and so on. She is also Vice-Chair of the ASTM D13.50 commiKee which overlook the standardization of smart textiles. She has worked on the development of several test methods to measure properties such as abrasion resistance of heating textiles, ECG degradation aXer sweat exposure and son on. She has given several presentations and masterclasses on this topic. She is also Vice-Chair of the ASTM D13.50 commiKee which overlook the standardiza:on of smart textiles.
