This deep panel interactive panel discussion is part of the TechBlick Health Tech Series and is curated by Alfred Poor, PhD.

As healthcare has improved, people are living longer. Countries worldwide are dealing with aging populations and the increased demands to support the elderly. Technology holds great promise for meeting the needs of older populations, as well as those of their caregivers and families. This session will explore a range of health tech applications, including remote monitoring, compensating for physical and cognitive impairments, and ways that AI-enabled technology can make in-home medical and care services more efficient and effective.

Panel 1: The shortage of paid and unpaid caregivers is creating a crisis for supporting seniors who choose to age in place. Can technology be a practical solution to fill the gap?

Panel 2: Many technology solutions for the elderly are marketed to managed care facilities. What are the barriers and solutions to making these products and services available to individual consumers?
